Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, is located in the Entertainment District of Arlington, TX, a suburb or Dallas. The ballpark first opened its doors on April 1,1994.
It sits between Cowboys Stadium, home to the NFL Dallas Cowboys and Six Flags Over Texas. These venues are separated by no more than a parking lot.
If you attend a game here in the early part of the season, sitting in the upper level the wind can swirl around a lot and the temperature can dip into the mid-50s. For an area that can be rather warm most of the season, you may need a coat that time of year.
It's a great ballpark to watch a game at with activities for the kids and a museum for older fans to remember the good ole days! Just beyond center field is a family-friendly area with picnic tables and games for the kids. There's also a statue of Nolan Ryan here, who is also the new owner of the team.
Beyond right field is where the museum is located. It is on three levels and the only place with more baseball memorabilia is in Cooperstown, NY at the Baseball Hall of Fame. On the first level are pieces owned or used by baseball greats like Babe Ruth, Cy Young, Ty Cobb, Willie Mays, Rogers Hornsby, Ted Williams, Rod Carew and many others. On the second level is aHall of Fame exhibit for anyone who played for the Texas Rangers organization or the Washington Senators. The top level has baseball games for bigger kids.
