The Pen at Safeco Field
The opposing team displays a baseball for every strikeout in the bullpen and fans have direct access to the pitchers and catchers in bullpen
The Pen is a great place to hang out, eat, have some drinks and mingle with your friends OR the pitchers in the bullpen at the Seattle Mariners stadium. It opens two and a half hours before the first pitch, while the other gates into the stadium open two hours before the first pitch. The fans have direct access to the players and talking to them over a wall that's only waist-high (as seen in the photo below). We loved it! The Pen is also where the pre-game and post-game broadcast comes from. It's directly beyond the center field wall.
La Creperie by Chef Ethan Stowell and Apizza by Bill Pustari
The Pen has many food choices, but two of them are by nationally known chef's. La Creperie is by Seattle native Chef Ethan Stowell and A Pizza by Bill Pustari. If you're wondering who Bill Pustari is, he owns another restaurant by the same name in New Haven, CT. that became nationally known on a foodie show called Man v. Food with Adam Richman. His restaurant was featured on the first episode and now he has a restaurant at the Seattle Mariners stadium.
The Pen at the Seattle Mariners stadium has wide and well-lite walkways. It's also where the TV pre-game and post-game broadcast originates from as you can see in the photo above.
Dave Niehaus Statue
Located on the field level behind Section 105 at the Seattle Mariners stadium is the statue of Hall of Fame broadcaster Dave Niehaus. Have a seat next to Dave and have your picture taken with him.
The Moose Den
The Moose Den is located on the field level behind the right field seats. It's a great place to take the kids and have their picture taken with the Mariner Moose.
Also, located in the same area is the Seattle Children's "Playfield" and Kid's Clubhouse. The Kid's Clubhouse is a store where you can purchase Mariners merchandise and clothes that are in kid's sizes.
The stadium offers year-around stadium tours that are seasonal in the times they're offered. For tours April 1st-October 31st they're available daily at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm.
