The Philips Arena, located in downtown Atlanta, GA, and is next door to the Georgia Dome, home of the Atlanta Falcons (NFL) and the Georgia World Congress Center at Marietta Street and Centennial Olympic Park Drive.

It first opened its doors on September 18, 1999.
In 2011 Atlanta and Philips Arena lost the Atlanta Thrashers in the NHL schedule. Those games are now on the Winnipeg Jets schedule.
Philips Arena has a seating capacity for approximately 18,700 people for basketball games and 21,000 people for concerts..
Getting To Philips Arena
Philips Arena is located on the MARTA (Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) train system. It's on the East/West line at the Philips Arena/CNN Center stop. If you're coming from the airport, take the red line to Five Points. The arena stop is one stop west of Five Points on the blue line.
From the train station you come into the arena on the Hawkwalk. You'll find a number of stores and restaurants along the Hawkwalk, including the Atlanta Hawks Pro Shop.
Inside the arena is a new restaurant called RED. In this restaurant the food is prepared in an open kitchen in the middle of the restaurant. You're also able to sit out in the arena on terrace seats to watch the game or you can sit at tables inside the restaurant to watch the action as well.
If you get Club or Suite tickets, you have access to the Center Club restaurant.
