A number of improvements to the Kansas City Chiefs stadium, Arrowhead Stadium have been made in recent years. Paid for by the Hunt family, the taxpayers of Jackson County and the Kansas City Chiefs have made the upgrades possible.. These upgrades total $395 million. Some of these improvements include a Hall of Honor located at section 118-119, that pays tribute to many former players and coaches. It also includes upgrades to the scoreboards, wider concourses and more than doubling the number of restrooms and new club level updates.

When you walk into the Kansas City Chiefs stadium Hall of Honor, you immediately see the busts of all of the former players, coaches and their owner Lamar Hunt. It's an impressive display that includes a display of "The Mentor" Hank Stram along with his bust and practice clothes. He was originally hired by Lamar Hunt in 1959 when the Kansas City Chiefs were the Dallas Texans. Having never coached professional football or been a head coach at any level , he went on to coach 15 seasons with the Chiefs and coach of Super Bowl IV.

The Kansas City Chiefs have a rich history and the Hall of Honor at Arrowhead Stadium does a good job of proving that. It includes display's of great players like Marcus Allen, including a display with his helmet, jersey, shoes and pads. Another display shows how their jersey's have changed looks over the year and helmets with their original franchise, the Dallas Texans, and their current helmet for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Stadium Tours

Two types of tours are offered at Arrowhead Stadium

  • VIP Sea of Red Tour
  • Basic Arrowhead Tour

VIP Sea of Red Tour (May - December; Fri/Sat 11:45am and 3:45pm), Thursday's included in August

The Sea of Red Tour lasts approximately two hours. It includes a welcome video, stops in the North Club and Scout Investments Club Level Suites. It also includes trips to the Founders Club, Quarterback Club and walks around the Field Level concourse. See the Chiefs locker room and walk along the field and Touchdown Club and toss a football along the sidelines. You're also given the opportunity to take pictures on the field next to the goal posts.

You'll also see the broadcast booth and press box, along with a stop in the press room where you can have your picture taken behind the podium. The tour will end at the Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Honor.

The cost of this tour is: $35/Adults, $25/Seniors (65 and older) or military personel, $18/Kids 4-12 year old, kids 3 years old and younger are free.

Basic Arrowhead Tour (May - December; Fri/Sat 10am and 2pm), Thursday's included in August

The Basic Arrowhead Tour lasts approximately one hour and a half. It includes a welcome video, stops in the North Club and Scout Investments Club Level Suites. It also includes trips to the Founders Club, but NOT the Quarterback Club. See the Chiefs locker room and the field, but does NOT include a trip to the Touchdown Club or toss a football along the sidelines. You're also given the opportunity to take pictures on the field next to the goal posts.

You'll get to go on the broadcast level of the stadium with a stop in the press room where you can have your picture taken behind the podium. The tour will end at the Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Honor.

The cost of this tour is: $12/Adults, $10/Seniors (65 and older) or military personel, $7/Kids 4-12 year old, kids 3 years old and younger are free.
