Dodger Stadium Express
The Dodgers and the Los Angeles Metro offer FREE bus rides to the ballpark if you have a game ticket that start 90 minutes before the beginning of the game and 45 minutes after it's over. If you don't have a game ticket, you can still ride for $1.50.
The pick up location is the Patsaouras Bus Plaza adjacent to the east portal of Union Station. The bus will go to Dodger Stadium via Sunset Blvd. and Cesar Chavez Avenue. Passengers will be dropped off and picked up in Dodger Stadium's parking lot G in center field. The buses will run every 10 minutes before the game and every 30 minutes once the game has started.
Where Dodger Stadium Is Located
Dodger Stadium, located in Chávez Ravine, overlooking downtown Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Mountains at 1000 Elysian Park Avenue. When the stadium was first built, the mountaintop was cut off to make room for the stadium and parking lot.
Dodger Stadium opened for the first time on April 10, 1962. Used by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim from 1962-1965 while Angel Stadum was being constructed, Dodger Stadium was renamed to Chávez Ravine Stadium during the Angels games.
Dodger Stadium seating capacity has never changed from it's orignal 56,000 seats.
Due to a conditional-use permit, when renovations have been made to add seats to the lower-level seating area, an equal number of seats were removed from the upper-deck.
With a standing room only capacity of 1,099, the total capacity for the stadium is 57,099.
Today, the seating capacity of Dodger Stadium is the largest in major league baseball.
