Located below is the Candlestick Park seating chart for the San Francisco 49ers.

Candlestick Park, also known as "The Stick" is located at Candlestick Point on the bay in San Francisco. If first opened its doors on April 12, 1960.

Candlestick Park seating capacity seats over 69,700 fans for football games.

Going to this ballpark was a marker moment in my life on my first trip there. It was in late September 1990, when the San Francisco Giants played there before moving to AT&T Park (previously Pac Bell Park).

It was 90 degrees that day in the valley, but the stadium sits in a bowl surrounded by mountains that keep the breeze off the bay blowing around the area. Before the game all of the local fans had their down jackets, parkas and blankets en toe.

By the end of the game, I could not open my mouth or feel my feet and my jaw shook uncontrollably. It is by far the coldest stadium or game I've ever gone to.. My advice in attending games at The Stick is to bring extra clothes, jackets and blankets, especially if you're attending an evening game. You'll be glad you did!
