The new stadium has features from the old Shea Stadium and Ebbetts Field included in its design.
The exterior facade and design are similar to the look and feel of the old Ebbettt's Field, while also displaying the original homerun apple outside the main entrance to the stadium and the Jackie Robinson Rotunda.
Citi Field seats approximately 42,000 fans with a standing room capacity for 45,000.
There is space available to accomodate 830 wheelchairs.
In right field, you will find a three-sided cutout section that houses the Modell's Clubhouse seating area.
When I'm looking for seats I like to get them in the shade if it's an afternoon game. You don't always have a choice if it's a big game or if you order them online through TicketMaster or some other outlet.
On my last trip to Citi Field I didn't get tickets in advance and there was a chance for rain. When I got up to the ticket office I asked where I could find seats where I wouldn't get drenched. He showed me some options and it worked out great because the rain did come!
