In 2007 plans to renovate the old stadium were announced and were completed before the 2009 season at a cost of $375 million.
The new stadium has a Chiefs Hall of Honor, luxury suites that allow the owners to sit outdoors, a Founders Club, a new team store and a tribute to the Chiefs long time owner, Lamar Hunt.
Arrowhead Stadium is an open-air stadium that seats approximately 79,000 fans.
The lower bowl area seats 35,277 fans while the upper bowl seats 33,975. There are 10,199 club level seats.
